Summer is here and I can’t believe we are just about into August in a few days! One thing I love about the sun and summer is the sun-kissed glow we get. However, in the winter months, our skin can look dull. This is where I love using Laura Mercier- Radiance foundation primer.
This under your foundation will give you a nice radiant glow all year round. Use a pea-size amount for your full face. Wait 1-2 minutes before applying the foundation, allowing the primer to set on the skin. Below is a small amount applied on my hand for
example. This is also good for someone who doesn’t want to wear foundation.
HAPPY CANADA DAY
Happy Canada Day! Hope everyone had a happy and safe holiday weekend. Sorry, I’m just posting now. I headed to Ottawa for the big ‘Canada 150’. It was a great getaway however the drive not so much. Usually, a drive takes 4hours for me but instead with all the traffic it was a 10-hour commute there and 7 hours heading back. Overall it was a nice weekend getaway from one city to another.
Here are all things red that I use, including my new Roots t-shirt I picked up just before heading out to celebrate.
Roots Tshirt $34
MAC ‘ruby woo’ lipstick $17
MAC pro long wear lip pencil ‘He said, She said’ $21
Deborah Lippman ‘My Old Flame’ $18
Voluspa candle ‘Goji Tarocco Orange’ $35 (Purchase at Chapters and Anthropology)
CURRENTLY USING…
Happy Summer Solstice! Because I missed out on posting last week I thought I’d blog about more than one product.
1: New MAC foundation “Next to Nothing” is so amazing it’s like an “Instagram filter”. The finish is so light but with a glow. It’s not a full coverage foundation.
2: MAC #7 lashes are my favorite and always my go-to. They fit nicely around the eye and look natural with all the extra drama you need. The lashes have gaps in between so your own natural lashes can fit in between for a natural look.
3: MAC blush “warm soul” in the mineralized blush is good on every skin tone! This is great for all 4 seasons long.
4: Prep and Prime concealer highlight stick is great for under eye or T zone areas.
DARK CIRCLES
K! This is the new favorite product that I just recently have started using and I’m obsessed.
1: It covers dark circles well
2: Helps with puffiness (with ingredients such as Goji Berry and Halocye)
I got this product at Shoppers Drug Mart. It runs for $12-$14 Canadian.
The shade I’m using is currently ‘Light’. However, I will have to go up a shade once summer arrives and I start to get darker.
This product is so easy to use. you turn the top 1-2 clicks and then press the sponge part onto your skin. The tip is so soft that you can glide on your makeup while it also blends. I found that it instantly diminished the appearance of my dark circles. You can use this concealer sparingly. Either before or after your foundation.
Comes in 6 shades and is good for all skin types!
